MOSQUITO
Interaction Design + Development
Three experimental development projects for Mosquito guests to explore and interact with the restaurant’s history, chocolate line, and menu.
These three individual development projects are all inspired by Mosquito – the dessert and champagne restaurant I created and managed in Gastown. The restaurant contributed to Vancouver’s food scene by introducing pastry arts and a new dining experience to guests.
MOSQUITO’S HISTORY
An informative webpage that is playful and engaging for users. As users learn more about the history of Mosquito, they are taken on a journey using a timeline with interactive elements. Dots on the timeline expand to reveal descriptions, images, and slideshows, making the experience both informative and fun for the user.

MOSQUITO BONBONS
A responsive website for a fictional line of Mosquito Chocolate. The intention is to surprise and delight users as they scroll through a luxurious line of Bonbons. By incorporating subtle interactions, the webpage is brought alive and gives the user insight into the unique experience that Mosquito offers.

MOSQUITO APP
My experience opening and managing Mosquito made me realize that many guests are unfamiliar with the wide range of champagne on offer. Using the app, guests can search by tasting note, helping them find their perfect bubbles.
Mosquito also offers artfully designed and prepared desserts. To raise awareness of this aspect of the menu, I developed a game in the app where users can drag and drop elements to decorate their own cake.
